BEHIND THE RELEASE:

Dúné are embracing the Winter spirit in their very own way by releasing an EP, inspired by the holiday season but in a very DÚNÉ way, on December 1, 2011. Entitled “ECHOES OF DECEMBER”, the EP features four brand-new tracks as well as an intro and an outro. The band felt inspired and wanted to give their fans a nice way to celebrate Christmas with them, wherever they might be. The tracks were recorded and produced by DÚNÉ, with mixing and mastering duties handled by old pal Jakob Hansen.

BEHIND THE RELEASE:

In the summer of 2011 we were asked by Oscar nominated, movie director Christian E. Christensen to do a cover version of Talk Talk's classic "Life's What You Make It" for his new feature film ID:A. We felt it would be a great challenge to record and release a version of "Life's What You Make It", since it's such an unconventional classic that hasn't been covered to death by a thousand  other bands. It's surely been a challenge to arrange and record it, and are thrilled by the result. We've had the chance to fool around with the track and do something we normally wouldn't do. The outcome was a very electronic song which points back to acts such as Eurythmics, Depeche Mode and Danish 80's synth-heroes Kliché. We hope that Talk Talk think we did it justice!

BEHIND THE RELEASE:

The "Leaving Metropolis" EP was made to end the “Metropolis era” of Dúné and to get the unfinished songs from the often stressful "Enter Metropolis" sessions out of our systems.
It's worth mentioning that the ballad "Revelation", was actually recorded and produced in Cecilie's living room and Ole Bjórn’s kitchen. Their neighbors weren't exactly happy with the noises made, which made the process more difficult, but it was worth the trouble. It's definitely become one of our favorite tracks!

BEHIND THE RELEASE:

Enter Metropolis was our second studio album.

The first songs were written during our Easter holiday on the small Danish island of Samsø.
Two days after graduation, and after a mean hangover and supporting German band "Die Ärzte" in Germany, we moved from Skive to Copenhagen, where the songwriting process was intensified in our new rehearsal room.

Despite the many ups and downs, we somehow managed to get our second album done.

The Danish version of Enter Metropolis also included the two bonus tracks 'Everybody Fights The Lust' and 'Remember' (released as B-sides to the Let Go Of Your Love and Please Bring Me Back singles in other territories) as track 9 and 10.

BEHIND THE RELEASE:

Our first album "We Are In There You Are Out Here" will always have a special place in our hearts, and on Danny’s right arm. It was recorded in Randers, Denmark.

In the summer of 2006, we started tracking the album, but it was all put on hold because of different reasons.

So we had to do the album on the weekends and school holidays with Matt driving in his parent’s car from Skive to Randers every day after school to finish the vocals.

It was a very intense period for the whole band, but we got through it.

The songs on the album mostly consisted of older songs. "Go Go Valentina" for instance, was written back in the beginning of 2004 and had been a part of our live repertoire for a couple of years.

Generally, the songs were about life in a small town and living out the dream of exploring and conquering the world out there.
